The fierce-name soul of Qiongqi, the blade spirit who governs "using evil to check evil" within the civilization of the Four Fiends of high antiquity. Positioned as a contrast-cute collectible; its iron wings spread, forming a "fierce vs. auspicious" pairing with the auspicious spirits of Volume One.

Personality

Sharp-tongued but straight-hearted: bites only the sanctimonious, and quietly retracts its spines before the genuinely honest. Hates being called a fiend — considers itself justice with thorns.

Worldview Story

The "Shan Hai Jing · Western Mountains" records that on Mount Gui there is a beast shaped like an ox with hedgehog fur, named Qiongqi, crying like a howling dog. The "Classic of Regions Within the Seas: North" adds that it looks like a tiger, has wings, and eats people starting from the head. Later it was counted among the Four Fiends, charged with punishing the good and promoting the evil, devouring the loyal and trustworthy. Qi Feng is the spirit born of the iron stone of Mount Gui. He says the ones he bit were all wearing the skin of virtue — the world sees only the bite, never why he bit. After the exile decree of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, he watched several thousand years of true and false good and evil in the western wastes. Now he has become a winged youth figure set on desks, to remind us that under a fierce name there may yet be justice, and beneath a gentle face there may yet be fangs.
